The Private Circuits may consist of structured SDH/SONET capacities or unstructured Wavelength capacity. These circuits have the following characteristics:
(a) The main characteristics of the IPLC service based on City to City SDH/SONET circuits are:
- Service to the customer's final destination
- Structured circuits in standard SDH and SONET protocols, compatible with multiplexers and interfaces from a wide range of suppliers in the industry.
- Available Capacities:
- STM-1/OC-3, STM-4/OC12, STM-16/OC48 and STM-64/OC192.
- E3/DS3 and E1/T1, following a feasibility study.
- Channelled and concatenated circuits.
- Compliance with quality parameters specified in international recommendation ITU-G.826
- Protection of the service in Span or Ring configuration, according to the MS-Spring layout, as specified in the ITU-T's international standard G.841.
- Compliance with the international standards of the ITU-T G.703 and G.752, for electrical interfaces, and ITU-T G.707 for optical interfaces, at the interconnection points with third-party and client networks.
(b) The main characteristics of the IPLC service based on City to City Wavelength circuits are:
- Service to the customer's final destination.
- Unstructured circuits with equipment and interfaces compatible with multiplexer equipment and interfaces from a wide variety of providers in the industry.
- Available Capacity: 10 Gbps.
- Compliance with international standards ITU-T G.691 for optical interfaces, at the interconnection points with third-party and client networks.
