Applications

The VSAT-IP service provides connectivity solutions, either where other broadband technologies cannot reach, or to guarantee a backup over a totally alternative network.

Within these uses, and since satellite communications have a special propagation time characteristic, there are certain applications that are better suited to the use of satellite:

• Applications to access the internet and all of its content and applications that do not require real-time interaction.
• Applications based on a web interface.
• SMTP/POP3 and Notes email.
• File transmission and FTP.
• Collection of remote data.
• Commercial and bank transactions.
